Defender, Discovery, Motorhome – Before n After rustproofing

Classification: d) Very rusty vehicles where I either find one instance of rot or where no rot is found but it is expected that the customer will have to bring back the vehicle for re-treatment at least once under the guarantee. These customers will have to pay an extra £100 for the guarantee and £200 for re-treatment under the guarantee.
This is still a beautiful car with unmarked bodywork and interior. But underneath it was a typical Scottish car. Heavy rust. The rear suspension subframe is very complex and some parts of it were impossible to access to completely remove rust scale. The side steps/runnners were beyond treatment and need replacing and the air tank for the suspension is also so rusty that it needs replacing. It would not have been responsible of me to try and treat it because apart from any treatment making it impossible to inspect, abrading off the rust scale might well have perforated it.
