Defender, Discovery, Motorhome – Before n After rustproofing

Classification: d) Very rusty vehicles where I either find one instance of rot or where no rot is found but it is expected that the customer will have to bring back the vehicle for re-treatment at least once under the guarantee. These customers will have to pay an extra £100 for the guarantee and £200 for re-treatment under the guarantee.
Still a very nice car with upholstery and bodywork in very good condition. I had to give a d) classification because the rear suspension subframe was very rusty (as can be seen in the pictures) and some parts of it are inaccessible to abrade the rust scale. This is the achilles heel of these cars. But the rest of the underneath was not bad. The front subframe was only moderately rusty and someone had carefully painted the rust on the sills with POR and this was doing a good job. Box sections were pretty rust free. The owner bought 3 pairs of lovely shoes at Church's shoe factory shop in Northampton while I was doing the car.
